Hills Motor Group is a used car yard that has been in business for over 10 years. Starting out as a humble family-owned and operated business, they never saw it necessary to have a cohesive and recognisable brand.
Come 2024, they decided it was time for a change and to keep up with everyone else— after all, their competitors were on social media, so they needed to be too.
Lacking brand guidelines and a cohesive brand voice, the assets around the car yard showed that the business was in need of a serious upgrade.
I created a logo and brand suite in Canva; and then got to work on creating assets for the yard. After speaking with the owner, he expressed he really wanted to see his Google 5-star reviews improve, so we brainstormed some strategies.
Taking a look at their social media, it was clear that all images and captions were uploaded straight from Virtual Yard (car sales platform) onto their Instagram and Facebook pages. There was no personality, nothing unique and no happy customers. This lack of care in their social media presence was reflected by their follower count— which was less than 100.
Once I was employed, I implemented the following:
- brand assets such as: 5-star review QR codes, office signage such as card merchant fee notices, 'Not For Sale' signs, etc
- a trendy and on brand logo
- shot and edited content for reels
- a 5-star review generation strategy (which generated over 200+ genuine 5-star reviews)
- regular posts to our social media accounts which include customer photos or graphic designed posts (in Canva) about current sales.
